The Salento dialect associates the name of the indigenous Susumaniello vine with the somarello or donkey, since the plant has abundant grape productivity, as the donkey (used in the vineyard in harvesting) was abundantly loaded in the vineyard to transport the same harvested grapes.
The particular name given to this wine, Trè fiii, which from the Salento dialect means Three Children, associates the abundant grapes produced by the vine with the abundant and prosperous family wanted by Antonio and Rosanna, with the birth of Francesco, Davide and Ginevra.
